I wanted to make this special page for all my new friends who I have met throughout the years, and those who have brought home my Suntrek kittens this year. I want to thank ALL of you for the kindness you have shown in keeping in touch with me, by sending me so many wonderful photo's of your babies as they are growing up, and for keeping me so well informed of all the joy they are giving you.
I wish everyone to have a very joyful and wonderful Christmas, and I also would like to add just a couple tips of wisdom to also make this a safe Christmas for yourselves, your families and your new kitten!
Your kitten can now leap onto a windowsill. What Christmas ornaments have you put there?
Your kitten sees Christmas lighting cables everywhere.... he/she thinks they are wonderful to chew on.
I love candles at Christmas time. They give the home a wonderful, homey glow, fill it with complementary light, and fill the home with a heavenly aroma. A kitten will play with a flame, will knock a candle over, will walk past a candle set on a table... and singe its whiskers and fur or worse.
An open fireplace is something I love also! Everyone gathers around the fireplace, enjoying the flames and warmth. So will your kitten. But he won't know that fire will kill him.
Tinsel hanging from a tree, long strands of glimmering temptation cannot be resisted by your baby, he will have to play with it. But, Tinsel and other hanging decor can become entangled around your kittens neck or body as he plays with it and he will struggle to get free, only tightening the bind and leading to disaster. Remember, vet fees over holidays and out-of-hours is not what you planned for Christmas, never mind the distress you would suffer if the worst happens. Please put Lilies, Poinsettias, Holly, and Ivy well out of the reach of your kitten, as these plants are poisonous if any part is ingested.
Your kitten is used to noise, visiting people, music and happiness all around him, but please be aware of doors being left open as people come and go, and keep an eye on that kitty! He is always one step ahead of you!
What I am really trying to say, is I want everyone to have a very happy and safe Christmas, and to use common sense in looking after your kitten. I offer to board any kittens if your Christmas holiday plans change suddenly. If you are worried about a sudden change of plans that requires you to be away for even 1 whole day over the Christmas period, please phone me without hesitation. You have all already assured me that you will be at home over the entire holiday season but if this changes for any reason, do please let me know. I will do everything I can to help.
To sum it all up, I wish you all a very Happy, and joyous Christmas. Please give all the kittens a little cuddle from me. xxx
